- Who We Serve
Each week, PactSafe will discuss and post about specific standardized agreements and how they can be turned into one-click contracts. Last week, we covered Sales Order Form. This week, we're focusing on the SaaS Renewal Order Form: what it is, why its typical signing method isn't ideal, and how it can be turned into a clickwrap on the PactSafe platform.
A SaaS Renewal Order Form agreement that is most commonly used by Customer Success Managers, Account Managers and Sales team members. This agreement is used at a SaaS (Software as a Service) company when a customer’s subscription is up for annual or monthly is set to expire. This agreement is sent to the client with the intention that they are renewing their subscription for the agreed term and pricing.
The customer typically signs this agreement. It can be anyone within the organization, from the main point of contact to the CEO.
This document is typically signed in-person or using traditional eSignature, depending on deal size and/or customer preference.
LACK OF SPEED. This is not typically ideal because having a lot of sections to fill out on a contract can be overwhelming. When renewals happen, it’s almost always in your best interest to get them signed as soon as possible and having a lot of information to fill out and sign slows down that process.

A one click contract, also known as a clickwrap contract, is like any other contract, but it’s presented in a way that allows the person signing it to do so by simply clicking on it. With very few exceptions, any contract can be signed with a single click on a website, from a phone, in an email — anywhere you meet your customers digitally, you can deliver a 1-click contract.
Before sending the contract you will have a renewal meeting with the customer, discuss all of the details of the renewal such as pricing and who is the best person to sign the contract. Then input all of that information into the contract prior to sending and send it off as a click to agree.
Subscription renewals are meant to be as transparent and as seamless as possible. Creating a contract with all of the correct information prior to sending allows the customer to be able to review the contract and have one button to press to renew.
1-click contracts are absolutely binding. Courts have enforced millions of contracts accepted by a single click. PactSafe’s platform was built to help ensure 1-click contracts are created in compliance with all the best practices established in 1000’s of court cases over the past 20+ years.
