- Who We Serve
Each week, PactSafe will discuss and post about specific standardized agreements and how they can be turned into one-click contracts. Last week, we covered Offer Letters. This week, we're focusing on the COVID-19 Return to Work Certification: what it is, why its typically signing method isn't ideal, and how it can be turned into a one click contract on the PactSafe platform.
A one click contract is like any other contract, but it's presented in a way that allows the person signing it to do so by simply clicking on it. With very few exceptions, any contract can be signed with a single click on a website, from a phone, in an email - anywhere you meet your customers digitally, you can deliver a 1-click contract.
COVID-19 Return to Work Certifications are going to become quite familiar to many over the course of the next 90 days as the global economy begins to reopen, at least partially. Already required by some U.S. states, these simple certifications are a way to help organizations risk-manage the pandemic while providing a gentle reminder to employees that they should be thinking through a list of questions about their possible COVID-19 exposure before coming to company premises daily.
Remember that Employee Handbook that you had to certify that you read once a year? Well, now, as part of COVID-19 control measures, at least some states are going to require you to do that daily. But this time, it’ll be a simple self-screening, instead of, say, your team’s anti-money laundering policies.
Great question! Pen & paper is off the table for obvious reasons, so that’s an open-ended topic at the moment across many industries. eSignature is an option, but, well...
Think of the friction points of you had to make an employee log-into email, find a DocuSign envelope, and sign every single day before coming into the office. Yikes. The employee experience is rife with friction, and in a time when we’re all worried about all sorts of other more important things, this could leave us with a low compliance rate on acceptance. Employers need an option that can move faster.
Let’s state the obvious: if you want your employees to acknowledge or sign these certifications daily, you better make it as easily and seamless as possible. Setting up your agreement as a one-click contract — something that only takes one simple action from the employee to execute, at the point of least resistance — can help.
A platform like PactSafe can automatically queue a text message agreement to show up on each employee’s phone at 8am before heading into the office. All they need to do is click the link, glance at the checklist criteria as a reminder, tap and move on with their morning uninterrupted.

Simple: like we’ve talked about above, maximum adoption and compliance rates require this to be inserted simply and easily into the busy mornings of employees. An eSignature requires many more steps and is much tougher to automate on that schedule without a heavy technical lift.
1-click contracts are absolutely binding. Also known as “clickwraps,” courts have enforced millions of contracts accepted by a single click. PactSafe’s platform was built to help ensure 1-click contracts are created in compliance with all the best practices established in 1000’s of court cases over the past 20+ years.
